Preservation Society of Racine - Churches

Our house has been asked to be on the Annual Historical Homes Tour this year. It's a yearly fundraiser that the Preservation Society of Racine operates. A home cannot be on the tour more than once every ten years so it is a fluke, an honor and great timing that we've been asked. A few much grander and more pristine homes in our area are also on the tour - as they are focusing on our little section of the Southside Historic District.

Because it has provided us with a timeline to get rooms painted, baseboards fixed, landscaping done, it will be nice to have all of our little "to do's" done by September that might otherwise fall to procrastination. But we're also not going to worry too much about it either - If the house was good enough when we were asked, it's good enough now. I'm not going to get completely engrossed in trying to impress a bunch of strangers.

I'm way too lazy for that.

Congratulations, guys! Your house is so beautiful and you should be so proud of what you've done to it, not only what the previous owners did. I'm just bummed that our house didn't make the Tour of Tombstone! Ha!
