There was a...ahem...bit of an incident on the playground involving a highly sought-after shovel and one little boy who shall remain nameless. A bit of a temper tantrum ensued and well, we decided he should write an apology to the teachers who had to chase after him.

Yeah, it's been that kind of week.

Today's circus performance was brought to you by the letter "F" for flu shot and involved two shrieking children and one mom almost in tears in the lobby of the hospital. The moms waiting with their newborns and maternity ward nurses for pickup were wide-eye. I wanted to turn to them and yell "Look what your little precious will be doing in a few years! Aren't you exCITED??"

We spent several snow-flurried hours running to several different sides of town for a flu shot clinic that no one could seem to agree was actually happening. And since, as we discussed, we at Jackonthelake are committed to keeping it real, we had to just brag about our little darlings and the week we've had.

No...REALLY...why did I get that flu shot again?

A few days bedridden - even throwing up - sound good right about now.

Could this really be the magnificent Mr Incredible and the precious little Fairy you are speaking so highly of? But, just two days ago, they both looked so innocent???...
