Soccer Game

Stopping to smell the flowers

Nina and Papa visit our Marina

Where Have We Been You Ask?

Just taking a bit of a break from the daily routine to entertain Nina and Papa for a week. They came to help us out with the home tour (more on that later) and see the kids in action. They did some fascinating things like take J to soccer practice, watch his swimming lessons, pick them up from preschool, sit in the rain at the soccer game and spring clean our house.

I mean, really, who wouldn't crave an exciting vacation like that?!

But the kids loved it - J got to feed the giraffe with Papa, L got a morning at the museum, and countless versions of Twinkle, Twinkle were sung and Goodnight Moon read. We're trying to work our magic and convince them that they need to leave the warm south and move up here. We tried showing them the lake, and the proximity of the good neighborhood pizza joints and bars. We even showed them the nursing home for MANY, MANY years down the road that is half a block away.

But I don't think it was enough for they left early yesterday morning for the 13 hour drive and peeled out of the driveway. Well, I made that part up but we're pretty sure after Thanksgiving we will be trekking to NC if we want to see them!

Thanks for the visit guys - we loved playing cards, redecorating the house and the birthday dinner night.

We enjoyed every moment of our visit(even the cleaning). We are just waiting for our bedroom to open up in your lovely home when we retire.

Love,
Nina and Papa
