City Boy Goes to the Country

While in North Carolina, we decided to take a picnic up to Pisgah National Forest to the Pinkbeds. Jackson had an aversion to the bugs, dirt and sun during lunch. Aren't boys supposed to like that kind of stuff? Get dirty and collect bugs in their pockets? Are we creating a wussy city boy?

I mean I do say things like, "don't get your new Diesel shoes dirty!"

We better work on that.

But we all really enjoyed our walk around the Cradle of Forestry. He even was taught how to play with toys from the 1800's with volunteers.

A nice picnic and hike for sure.
