Where We've Been...And Doesn't This Look Like Fun??!!

More explanation as to my disappearance coming later. But for right now, let's just say that life has gotten a bit more complicated and our craziness has ramped up. I hate not being prompt in posting entries and it seems the longer I've delayed, the longer it takes to finally post. As in "it better be a darn good post since it's BEEN a week" And lately my creative writing levels are near empty.

So instead, you get an half-update on us and a farewell until after our trip. We leave this week to do our crazed, bi-annual Cincinnati-athon. The one where we sprint from house to house visiting family and friends and doing traditional things like drive by the old house "look kids! that is where you lived when you were born" to eating at Skyline Chili, getting Graeter's Ice Cream, seeing our old Game Night group and making a quick appearance at the best darn zoo in the country. We are excited to get to attend Easter service at our old church, visit with Nina, Papa and Grandpa and meet a slew of new babies that have been born since our last visit.
It's the kind of trip where no one gets enough sleep or down time, everyone has a meltdown during some point and I will most likely point out (in tears) that this is why we don't take extended trips like this.

It is stressful, fast paced and a whirlwind mixture of fun and agony.

Well, aren't you wishing you could come?

But in the past week?

  • I had Belle of the Ball and Keith and his friend Josh took the kids to a rainy, cold Easter Egg Hunt at our local zoo. They stayed as long as they could stand it. Judging by the only picture Keith took, it looks miserable to me!
  • From that trip, the group ended up at McD's where L got the Wicked Witch from the new Madame Alexander toy series and now I am forcing my children and husband to eat at McD's a gross amount in order to get all the dolls in the series. They are way cool.
  • Our good friends the McCorkles visited all week where we did exactly what I had predicted: Survivor Night, Jelly Belly, introduced them to Culver's and saw Meet the Robinsons, probably the worst Disney movie to grace the screen in a while. But I got a great nap so I'm not complaining! We were sad to see them drive off but glad we'll see them next week.
  • J started the new soccer season where at practice he promptly fell into a mud puddle and couldn't calm down. Off to a great start!

That is it for now. Have yourself a lovely Easter holiday and we'll catch you on the flipside!

We're looking forward to seeing you...even though we weren't included on your blog schedule...LOL. BTW feel free to schedule meltdowns during our visit, because they seem to be common with B too, and we understand the work of a visiting vacation. Sorry it's going to be a crazy week but we're excited to see you.
